About

So welcome to Bedfont, an area between Feltham, Ashford, Hounslow and Heathrow in West London. Is it a really a village? Well maybe not in the traditional chocolate box picture sense but it has its own identity and if you look a little harder everything you'd expect a village to have - including a green that has almost uniquely survived the ravages of urban development in West London. It also has quite the prettiest church with some amazing topiary.

This blog will highlight some of Bedfont's best (and worst) features over time in a series of photographs and articles. New for 2020 and a first for Bedfont is a Heritage Trail. This will be added to over time.

Time to lay down a few rules - exactly what is inside Bedfont and what is not. The simplest way to illustrate this is with a map so here it is.

The more observant local will note that not all of Bedfont Lakes is in Bedfont but lets not make this blog too pedantic about the area. That will have to be left for when I work out exactly what East Bedfont is and what anybody has done with the North, South and West bits.
