Now under the care of English Heritage Bedfont's mile markers to London have stood in place for hundreds of years along what was once a major route into the centre of London. They display the distance from their location to Hyde Park Corner with one showing '13 miles' and the other recording the distance in Roman numerals as 'XII miles'.
The War Memorial
The Great War claimed the lives of many who lived in Bedfont and they are recorded on the War Memorial situated near Bedfont Library. Each year respects are paid and this picture shows the tributes laid in November 2012.
